The iPad is Apple Inc.’s line of tablet computers designed and marketed as a “third device” between a smartphone and a computer. It sports a lightweight build and a streamlined mobile OS, allowing the iPad to have a small form factor that still matches the computing power of a full-featured computer. iPad tablet is available in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G models. The new iPad (3rd generation), released in March 2012, has 4G LTE instead of 3G.
The first-generation iPad launched in April 2010 and has gone on to revolutionize tablet computers. Reviewed by ann (2012-03-20)  great little gadget Finally bought the ipad 2 when they went on sale. Absolutely love face time. Now I can talk to my sister and my kids who are away at college and can see their faces. Easy enough to use except I did have to search for the manual to see what some of the symbols meant. I think my mother who turns 80 this year would be able to use this fairly easily. It is light enough to carry around in a bag, a little awkward to hold for reading or face time, get the cover that rolls up as a stand. Love the ease of the downloads without the computer. Books are easy to read. Able to share with kindle and nook friends too. |

Reviewed by Rodney (2012-01-01) Excellent purchase, very smooth Being a 3 iPad 2 and 3 iPhone 4s family, i was already well aware of how well the iPad 2 operated. This one was for my Mother for Christmas and it was very well received.
Apple products are always excellent, and I would have no problem recommending this product to anyone who needs a device to check mail, work on the road or just sit on the couch and read while they lounge in their living room.
I have to put in a good word here for the MacMall. The order was taken very efficiently and the fulfillment was just as expected, a true Christmas Miracle since I waited until the last minute to order. I will definitely use MacMall to order again as they are way easier to use than fighting the crowds at the Apple store. |

Reviewed by Don Young (2011-08-09) iPad 2 w Wi-Fi Performs as Advertised In the 3 weeks I've had it, the iPad 2 has done all I've asked very well. Since I don't use a smart phone, the Wi-Fi only is very adequate for my needs and works very well with my home Wi-Fi network. Although I am a 23 year Mac user, the touch screen took a bit of time to get used to, but now I'm very comfortable with it.
So far I've downloaded free apps in categories of: News, financial, TV/radio, travel, books, entertainment and office after discussing with a friend who bought one on the first day they were available. The ones I've tried work well and I expect to use them more in the future. So far I've mostly used it for reading books which I've downloaded from the archive of my Kindle account. I've found it easier to select and load books using the Kindle, and then put them on the iPad 2 using the archive, but that may change when I get more acquainted with the use of the iPad. |

I love this and take it everywhere I go. I have done almost everything on it. My work, I've made phone calls, text folks, did my banking, read the morning newspaper, played games, crosswords, watched movies & TV, changed the channel on my television set in every room, took pictures, Maps, recorded meetings and printed everything with my iPad. The list goes on and on. As I have stated first this is absolutely by far the BEST Invention ever. I can only hope that they continue to bring new apps to the ipad so it will truly become non stoppable. Thanks Steve Jobs and thanks MacMall for great service and great employees.

Reviewed by extrajay (2011-03-26) Great tablet, lots of improvements over the original iPad This new iPad 2 is a great tablet overall! It is one step forward compared to the original iPad. It now has web cameras, which allows for video chatting with the front camera - use the FaceTime - and also allows taking pictures and HD video with the rear camera!
It is also lighter and looks sleeker compared to the previous model. The overall experience is the same, though, so if you have owned the first iPad you will very easily get used to this one as it is almost identical in the way you use it - icons, menus, settings.
I recommend you also get the digital HDMI cable connector to be able to connect to an HDTV via HDMI cable, MacMall sells it, I think for about $39, and of course get one of the Apple covers. You won't regret it. It is very helpful to have one of those covers, which also can be used as a tablet stand and more...
And finally, I would like to praise MacMall - they are absolutely amazing. They took my order on the phone fast and politely. I received the iPad 2 after a couple of days(and the cover and the digital HDMI connector) and everything was packaged very well! Also I received free shipping and no state tax on my final price!
I recommend the iPad 2 to anyone and definitely buy i from MacMall! |
